6 years ago, I made some stud earrings out of cast sand dollar teeth. They were pretty weird, and I'm not sure everyone shared my enthusiasm for wearing them in jewellery form! However, I still think they're really neat (and beautiful), and I decided to imagine more of them into wearable pieces as the starting point for my newest collection. I had so much fun coming up with designs for these pieces, and kept discovering 'perfect fits'-- stones that were rescued from various pieces of old jewellery that happened to be the exact same size, a heart shaped bead that fit snugly into a seashell-- the collection practically made itself! I also did most of the creation during an extreme heatwave, daydreaming about dunking in the cool ocean all the while...
